RULES FOR SUBMITTING ON-LINE BIDS |
- Bidding is open to Active Duty Military and their family members over 18 years of age (both American and GAF), retirees and their authorized family members over 18 years of age, DOD Civilian Service and NAF employees, Government contract workers who are working on Holloman installation and others as listed in AFI34-262 table A2.
- All information requested on the Bid Submission Page must be completed for the bid to be valid.
- Each morning Monday thru Friday, (excluding holidays) the “Highest Bid” received the previous day is updated by 10:00.
- The highest bid received before 06:00 hrs (based on transmittal time) on the “bid closing date” shown on the item description page, will be declared the winner for that item. The ‘Winning Bidder” for each on-line item will be notified by E-Mail, no later 12:00hrs the day of the bid closing that their bid was successful, and they will be given instructions on how to pay for and pick up their item(s). NOTE: The Services Squadron is not responsible for Computer System Failures.
- Payment methods are Cash, Personal Check, Master Card or Visa. Payment and pickup may be made the same day the NAF Retail Store is open. The NAF Retail Store is currently open the Second Saturday of each month from 08:00 to 10:00hrs. Payment for items at other then normal NAF Retail Store hours must be made at Outdoor Recreation from 09:00 to 16:00, Monday through Saturday. Arrangements for an item pick-up time at other then normal NAF Retail Store hours can be made by calling 49 Services Logistics Support at 572-3916. Payments and arrangements for item pick-up must be made within 5 working days of notification. Please contact either Outdoor Recreation at 573-5369 or E-Mail the NAF Retail Store at estuff@zianet.com for more information. I.D. cards must be presented at the time the items are paid for and when the item is picked up. Please make your own arrangements for loading, transportation, and delivery as the NAF Retail Store employees are not able to do so.
- Only under exceptional circumstances will you be allowed to retract a bid. If you accidentally entered a wrong bid amount, for example; you bid $99.50 instead of $9.50 as intended, you can re-enter the bid with the correct amount and explain the error in the comments area of the bid page. Please explain the error as fully as possible in the space allowed. You may also E-Mail the NAF Retail Store at estuff@zianet.com with the explanation. For this reason bidders are cautioned to seriously consider how much they willing to pay for the desired item and bid accordingly.
- In the event that the Highest or Winning bidder is not authorized IAW AFI34-262, or does not pay for and pick-up the item, the Second Highest Bidder for that item will be declared the winner and that person will be notified. If the second highest bidder declines the item, the item will be put back up for auction.
- In the event of two or more bids of the same amount being received for the same item, the bid with the “earliest received transmittal time” will be declared the high daily bid, or winning bid for that item. All others will be notified that theirs was not the high or winning bid for that item.
